Good Afternoon Meadowbrooke!

This week we will be in Ephesians 3:14-19!  In verse 14, the apostle Paul uses a word that is only used four times in the entire New Testament, and that word is Bend (kamptō) and it literally means to bow down.  The word is also used in Philippians 2:10, Romans 14:11, and in reference to the prophets who did not compromise in the days of Elijah (Rom. 11:4): I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal (you can read the story Paul is referring to in 1 Kings 18:20-19:21).  So why am I sharing this with you in an e-Letter?  I share this with you because I want to ask you to do something in preparation for our time of worship this Sunday morning; I want you read Ephesians 3:14-19 and ask both God and yourself this question: What does it mean be a Christian in light of Ephesians 3:14-19?

You do not have to have an answer for the above question, but I believe that if you pray to God about what the answer to the above question might be for you, you may discover that you will be more sensitive and open to the answer to that question by the time you show up on Sunday morning.  So, my challenge to you is that you try the above expecting to encounter the God of Ephesians 3:20-21 this Sunday (two verses you are already familiar with): Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen (Eph. 3:2021).

If you are one of our men reading this e-Letter, dont forget that tomorrow morning is our Mens Breakfast at 8:30!  I really hope to see you tomorrow morning for great food, fellowship, and some time in Gods Word together as men! Feel free to bring your sons and friends (just shoot us an email or call the office to let us know if you have not already signed up).

I am really looking forward to seeing and experiencing the ways God is going to move as we gather together on Sunday in our 9:00 and 10:30 worship services!

Grace,

Pastor Keith
