Our Vision Statement: “We exist to help develop followers of Jesus who prayerfully engage their communities with the gospel.”

Job Overview
We are prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor who manifests the qualities of an Elder as listed in the Bible (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9). We are seeking a gifted and experienced Worship and Discipleship Pastor who is able to lead in congregational worship, has the ability to help others develop as disciples of Jesus, and is able to provide pastoral counseling when necessary.

The role of the Pastor of Worship and Discipleship includes: (1) leadership over Meadowbrooke’s worship and A/V ministries, and (2) the oversight of Meadowbrooke’s Discipleship Pathway.

Meadowbrooke’s worship and A/V ministries is an integral and strategic part of our worship service. It is the desire that the music ministry of our church serves to teach the congregation something about who they are and much of who God is. We are seeking a candidate who believes that the congregational songs we sing must be theologically sound before they are considered culturally relevant. We also expect the Pastor of Worship and Discipleship to incorporate scripture, prayer, and other mediums that help the congregation understand and know God better.

Meadowbrooke’s Discipleship Pathway is a developing system that includes Life Groups, a future recovery group, and a 4-week Partnership Pathway (our version of a membership course). We believe that discipleship begins before conversion and is ongoing after conversion; the aim of the Discipleship Pathway is that each disciple of Jesus becomes an active disciple maker. The purpose of the pathway is to help develop followers of Jesus who prayerfully engage their communities with the gospel, so it is understood that Meadowbrooke’s Discipleship Pathway will continue to be shaped and improved upon throughout the life of Meadowbrooke as a church.

The expectation of the Pastor of Worship and Discipleship will be that he meets the qualifications of an Elder (see 1Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9), become an active member of a life group, and actively and strategically seeks ways to help others develop in their growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Our ideal candidate is someone who plans to complete or has completed Bible college or seminary training, is ordained or seeking ordination, experienced and gifted in leading in congregational worship, proficient in the use and implementation of audio-visual equipment, a competency with the Bible so to teach it and help others understand it better, and a pastoral heart to offer and provide counseling when necessary.
