Good Evening Meadowbrooke, |
|
This Sunday marks the beginning of our new sermon series, “The Tree.” Throughout this series, we’ll explore the ongoing struggle between good and evil and celebrate the ultimate triumph of God’s kingdom. Each week, we’ll reflect on God’s extraordinary grace, His steadfast mercy, and His unwavering purpose to transform what is broken and flawed into a breathtaking mosaic of redemption. The story of the Bible is framed by trees: it opens with the Tree of Life and concludes with the Tree of Life. In Genesis 2:9, the Tree of Life stands at the heart of the Garden, and after redemption is fulfilled and all things are renewed, the Tree of Life will be central in the new creation—a theme we’ll revisit in our upcoming Revelation series. Many sermons and books attempt to explain Revelation through various theological frameworks crafted by dedicated pastors and scholars. Yet, Revelation appears at the end of the Bible for a reason; it is the final book included in Scripture. Truly grasping its message requires an understanding of the narratives and symbols found throughout the Old Testament. Without this foundation, the profound truths of Revelation remain out of reach.
The sermon series launching this Sunday is designed to prepare you for what I believe will be one of the most significant sermon series I have delivered in my 23 years as a pastor. In “The Tree,” we’ll explore foundational themes that are deeply connected to the book of Revelation, including:
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday in our 9AM and 11AM worship services!
