Good Morning Meadowbrooke,

Consider this a missions themed e-Letter, and what better time to receive one than in the second week of October! I’m excited to share three important announcements that highlight God’s work in and through our church family.

First, we joyfully welcome Ellia Millsap back from her year-long missions’ trip in the Philippines! With your support and prayers, Ellia experienced God’s transformative power, both personally and within the communities she served. Join us on October 26th at 10:20 AM in room #5 (between first and second services) to hear Ellia’s stories and celebrate together. Refreshments will be provided.

Second, many have asked about the mission trip to Peru. While enthusiasm is high, we currently need someone to lead and organize this trip for 2026. If you have administrative gifts and a heart for missions, please let us know as soon as possible. Your leadership could make this opportunity a reality!

Third, I am honored to have been invited as a keynote speaker to the 31st annual pastors’ conference in Kampala, Uganda, from December 7–11. This year’s conference will gather over 700 pastors and church leaders from Uganda and neighboring African countries. The theme, “Strength for the Weary,” speaks directly to many who have faced real persecution and hardship. I feel deeply called to encourage and stand alongside these faithful leaders. Each day, I’ll share messages focused on the armor of God from Ephesians 6:10-18—offering hope, resilience, and spiritual strength in difficult times.

My wish is for Lusaka Gospel Messengers Church not to carry any financial burden so that more local pastors can attend. To make this a reality, I need to raise $4,000 by November 30th to cover all my travel expenses.

Your support—whether through prayer or financial contribution—would mean the world to me. I truly believe that prayer is what anchors and empowers ministry. We cannot do this alone; your prayers will open doors and sustain us as we follow God’s lead in serving these faithful church leaders.

If you would like to contribute you can make your check payable to Meadowbrooke Church (just write in the memo line “Uganda.”  If you chose to give cash, please use one of the giving envelopes on the back of the chairs in the auditorium (write “Uganda” on the envelope).  If you chose to give online, you can do so by click on the following link: https://meadowbrooke.breezechms.com/give/online

Please begin praying for my trip, for there will be those in attendance who have suffered much; it is my hope that all in attendance will receive much encouragement and strength through the proclamation of God’s Word.

Because He Lives!
