Good Morning Meadowbrooke, |
We were created for God and to know him. Your joy, satisfaction, and contentment are only maximized in and through a relationship with the God who is the All-sufficient, fully sovereign, redeemer who sanctifies lost sinners by providing a righteousness they do not have, for the purpose of leading them to a life they do not deserve. Knowing Him is what we were born for, for it is in knowing Him that we can become the better version of ourselves that God intends for His people. We are meant for the kind of relationship the Psalmist described in Psalm 34, Taste and see that the Lord is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Fear the Lord, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no lack of anything (Psalm 34:89)!
By tasting that the LORD is good, you will discover that he is enough even when you are striped of everything you hold dear, you will find that he is enough, just as the Prophet Habakkuk described long ago: Even if the fig tree does not blossom, and there is no fruit on the vines, If the yield of the olive fails, and the fields produce no food, even if the flock disappears from the fold, and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I will triumph in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and He has made my feet like deers feet, and has me walk on my high places. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments (Habakkuk 3:1719). God alone is enough.
I hope to see you this Sunday in our 9:00 and 10:30 worship services as we continue in Ephesians 5:14-21 and discover how we can be filled with the Holy Spirit and navigate life with wisdom.
Grace, Pastor Keith

- Please pray for Lily as she steps out of international missions this fall. - She has had an invasive medical complication, and needs to receive care and treatment for it here in the U.S. - You are welcome to reach out to her directly at lily.j@radiusinternational.org if you have any specific questions or concerns, or speak with her this Sunday. - A plan is now in process to move forward, and she wanted to thank us for the support over the past year. |
