Welcome Meadowbrooke parents! During this time of social-distancing when we won’t be meeting as a church on Sundays, we want to continue to develop our children with lessons from the Gospel Project. Click here and visit our online lessons page to watch lesson videos and download an activity page! We will be uploading new content on Wednesday each week.
The Meadowbrooke Kids Ministry exists to partner with parents as they teach their children to know God and think biblically. On Sunday mornings at Meadowbrooke our kids experience safe environments with age-appropriate teaching and activities where they learn about God in a creative and relevant way.
Your first visit
We would love to see you and your family visit us this week! Here’s what to expect for your kids when visiting Meadowbrooke for the first time:
We offer classes for newborns through 5th-grade students during the 10:30 a.m. service only. Children are welcome to attend the 9:00 a.m. service in the auditorium with their families.
Kids aged Preschool and younger enter their classrooms before the service begins. Grade-school kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade join the adults in the auditorium during the worship music time then are dismissed to their classes (K – 5th grade kids still need to be checked-in to their classes before the service).
Classrooms & Check-in
The following classrooms for children ages newborn through 5 years old (Pre-K) are located down the hallway to your right as you enter the building:
– Nursery: Newborn – 2 Years old
– Preschool: 3 – 5 Years old (Pre-K)
The following classrooms for kids in Kindergarten through 5th Grade are located down the hallway to your left as you enter the building:
– Jr. Kids: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
– Sr. Kids: 3rd – 5th Grade
Before Service: All kids need to be signed in at their appropriate classroom before the service. A teacher will be present in the classroom and can answer any questions you have about check-in. For parents of grade-school kids, please sign-in your child before bringing them to the service with you. Kids will be dismissed to their teachers at the back of the auditorium after the worship music time.
After Service: After the service is finished, you will need to return to your child’s classroom and show your child’s matching tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you, the number listed on your child’s check-in tag will be displayed on the projector screen. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s classroom.
Meet our Children’s Director
Mica Pfaffe joined the Meadowbrooke staff in 2019 as the Children’s Ministry Director. Mica has her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and 10 years’ experience teaching in Elementary and Preschool.
It’s not enough for our kids to know the Bible. It’s not enough for them to want to obey the Bible. It isn’t even enough for them to obey the Bible. They can do all of that while still being dead in their sin. We don’t want that for our kids!
We want them to know Jesus, the One whom the whole Bible is about, and trust in Him for eternal life.
The kids at Meadowbrooke are the future of our church! Has God given you a desire to help our children know Him? We are always welcoming new volunteers to work in a variety of roles in Meadowbrooke kids ministry; from teaching and leading activities to simply being there to show our kids the love of Christ!
If you are interested in serving in this way, please email Mica at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you have. You can also fill out this servant application and drop it off at the church office or hand it to Mica on a Sunday morning at church.
